Basic FAQ's about Laying Tiling...
Q: Is my floor OK for tiles? A: Typically needs to be a level surface and floor joists and subfloor are inspected to test for deflection [bounce/looseness]. These need to be solid. This is why an expert tilesetter is a must.
Q: If my floor is not level what is needed? A: New substrate, can be plywood, cementboard, mortar bed or ditra.
Q: Will the installers take away the waste? A: This depends on you, you can save money if you remove it.
Q: Will they move and replace appliances? A: Again this is up to you, please let us know in advance.
Q: How long does it take? A: 3 days in most cases, but depends on area and complexity of the job.
